This last two weeks has been a very busy time for Primetime’s Joanna White. Her love of aviation led her to assist the British Aerobatic Association at the World Aerobatic Championships, Silverstone, in support of Team GB.
Along with documenting the Teams progress throughout the competition she assisted the Official FAI Judging Team, providing video support throughout the two weeks of flying.

Team GB have been selected and are training hard for the World Aerobatic Championships (WAC), to be held at Silverstone Race Course at the end of August 2009. The team (pictured left) consist of warm up pilot Richard Pickin, and team pilots Tom Cassells, Mark Jefferies, Kester Scrope, Nick Onn and Gerald Cooper.
The British Aerobatic Association (BAeA) are busy organising the event and Primetime Media’s Joanna White has been following the progress of Contest Director Steve Green and Chairman of the BAeA Alan Cassidy.
Team GB are training from Sywell Airfield in Northamptonshire and Turweston Airfield. The close proximity to Silverstone Race Circuit is allowing them to train in the overhead of the Competition box – giving them a great advantage before the competition in August.

Primetime Media’s Joanna White has been documenting the selection process and early training of the British Team for the World Aerobatic Championships (WAC) 2009.
This year is special as WAC is to be held in Great Britain – the first time in over twenty years. Silverstone Race Circuit is confirmed as the location for this prestigious event which will take place in August.
With the increased interest in WAC, there are more pilots than usual hoping to make it into Team GB and have the chance to compete over home soil. Responsibility for selection has fallen to French trainer Eric Vazeille, World Champion in 2000, and team manager David Cowden.
To find out more about the selection/training view the latest video blog of the team.
